Number of Applicants to Regulated Professions

Since 2007, the number of applications from internationally trained individuals, excluding those trained in the United States, has continued to rise slightly. The number of applicants from the United States has remained static. (See the graph below.)

The following graph shows the new applications to the regulated professions, from 2005 to 2009. The graph shows the numbers of applicants from:

Note: 2009 was the first year that the new College of Early Childhood Educators accepted new membership applications. This accounts for the apparent sharp increase for the Ontario numbers in the graph.
