College of Dietitians of Ontario

The College of Dietitians of Ontario (CDO) is the governing body for dietitians in Ontario. The Office of the Fairness Commissioner (OFC) oversees the registration practices of the college to ensure that they are transparent, objective, impartial and fair for anyone who wants to practise as a dietitian in this province.

Classes of Certificate: The CDO is considering the addition of new classes of certificate, which include a “provisional class” that would allow applicants to practise in areas of demonstrated competence while completing further training.

The College of Dietitians of Ontario falls under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care.

CDO The OFC does not assess credentials, handle complaints or intervene in particular cases. Our mandate is one of systemic change. Please contact the CDO for further information about your ability to practise as a dietitian in Ontario.
