College of Early Childhood Educators

The College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE) is the governing body for early childhood educators in Ontario. The Office of the Fairness Commissioner (OFC) oversees the registration practices of the CECE to ensure that they are transparent, objective, impartial and fair for anyone who wants to practise as an early childhood educator in this province.

The College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE) filed its first Fair Registration Practices (FRP) Report on March 31, 2010, covering 2009, to the OFC.

During 2009 - 2010, the OFC monitored developments related to the registration practices of the CECE:

Timelines to Process Applications: Upgrades to the registry system have reduced the processing time for applications from several months in the first half of 2009 to four-to-six weeks.
