Description

This practice offers a proactive approach to informing and updating staff members who assess applications, about policies and procedures.

In addition to providing information through its internal network for staff members, the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) creates and distributes a daily newsletter containing information relevant to the work of credential assessors.

The newsletters contain "refresher" reminders about the OCT's policies and procedures. They also include a 'Did You Know?' section in which the OCT highlights teacher education and education trends in various jurisdictions.

This proactive measure ensures that the OCT's policies and procedures are readily available to its registration staff and decision-makers.
