College of Homeopaths of Ontario

The College of Homeopaths of Ontario (CHO) is the governing body for the registered homeopaths in Ontario. The CHO was established by the Homeopath Act in 2007, which came into force on April 1, 2015. The college is represented by its council.

The Office of the Fairness Commissioner (OFC) will oversee the registration practices of the college to ensure that they are transparent, objective, impartial and fair for anyone who wants to practise as a homeopath in this province. The OFC will work closely with the Registrar.

The College of Homeopaths of Ontario falls under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care.The OFC will oversee the registration practices of the CHO to ensure that they are transparent, objective, impartial and fair for anyone who wants to practise as a homeopath in this province. The OFC does not assess credentials, handle complaints or intervene in particular cases. Our mandate is one of systemic change.
