The College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) is the governing body for medical radiation and imaging technologists in Ontario. The Office of the Fairness Commissioner (OFC) oversees the registration practices of the college to ensure that they are transparent, objective, impartial and fair for anyone who wants to practise as a medical radiation and imaging technologist in this province.

Audit Report

Language Proficiency: The CMRTO evaluated its language proficiency requirements for internationally trained applicants, to ensure that the requirements correspond to the language level that is actually needed to practise in the profession. As a result of the evaluation, the CMRTO increased the number of tests it accepts to demonstrate language proficiency from one to three, and it validated the scores applicants must get.
