Health and Supportive Care Providers Oversight Authority
The Health and Supportive Care Providers Oversight Authority (HSCPOA) was created by the Government of Ontario to support public protection. HSCPOA is an oversight body, independent from Ontario government, that has a legislated mandate under the Health and Supportive Care Providers Oversight Authority Act, 2021, to register and provide oversight of personal support workers (PSWs), and other potential classes of registrants, in the interest of public protection.
The Office of the Fairness Commissioner (OFC) will oversee the registration practices of the authority to ensure that they are transparent, objective, impartial,
and fair for anyone who wants to register as a Personal Support Worker (PSW) in Ontario.
